This AISI 430 stainless steel sheet is specifically manufactured for the automotive industry, providing reliable performance in exhaust systems, decorative trim components, muffler assemblies, and fuel burner parts. As a ferritic stainless steel containing 16-18% chromium, grade 430 delivers an exceptional combination of heat resistance, oxidation resistance, and cost-effectiveness compared to austenitic grades like 304.
- Heat Resistance: Withstands intermittent service temperatures up to 815°C and continuous service up to 705°C, making it ideal for exhaust manifolds and muffler internals
- Oxidation Resistance: Excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation and scaling
- Thermal Conductivity: Higher thermal conductivity than austenitic stainless steels for efficient heat dissipation
